My name is Giulia McIsaac. I am originally from Davis, California, but am currently living in San Francisco. I am a 2D animator and layout artist recently graduated from Academy of Art University under the Animation and Visual Effects BFA program.

 

In my personal work as a 2D animator, I believe creating funny stories about everyday tasks is important for a compelling narrative. Most people know the feeling of having to pay bills or having to do laundry. Capturing that relatable feeling with an audience regarding mundane tasks mashed with interesting elements is the motivation behind my art. Life can be boring at times, so my goal is to create stories that help spice up the dull parts in life.

When I'm not animating, I make my own comics, and draw people I observe while taking public transportation as characters from different genres and themes! And when I'm not working on personal projects, I love exploring new hiking trails in the Marin Headlands, running, knitting, sitting in at San Francisco Beekeeper's Association Meetings and watching terrible movies with friends.
